SAVINSKA VIRGIN MARY
The Blessed Virgin Mary, as the tradiotion says, in the middle of the 18th century, Savina monastery was preserved by her from demolition that was announced by the Venetian authorities under whose occupation Boka was at the time.
The miraculous icon of the Savinska Virgin Mary is one of six canonized miraculous icons in the Serbian Orthodox Church. It belongs to the Italo-Critical Art School and is presumed to have originated in the 16th century.

The monastery's museum preserves the sacred objects that until the end of the 17th century belonged to the monastery of Tvrdoš and partly to the Mileševa monastery, which together with the autochthonous Savina's heritage form an unique whole of invaluable cultural, artistic and historical significance.
The Savina Monastery with its rich library occupies a prominent place in Serbian culture. The Monastery Library possesses a number of significant manuscript and printed books, some of which date back to the XIV century and represent an artistic and cultural heritage of national importance.
